Botox Daxxify Per Unit: Real Timeline (3–9 Months) & Longevity Tips
By Drips & Glow Aesthetics | October 6, 2026
Quick note: I’m appointment-only in Old Towne Katy (near the historic Katy Townsite and the Main Street district). Free parking, card payments, buy now pay later options, and a wheelchair accessible, kid friendly space.
Botox commonly lasts about 3–4 months per treatment. Daxxify often lasts 4–6+ months for many people, and some areas can hold closer to 9 months. Your personal timeline depends on the product, your dose, the muscle we’re treating, and how expressive you are. If you’re nervous (especially your first time), you’re in good hands. I explain every step as I go so you feel safe and clear on what we’re doing and why.
The real Botox vs Daxxify duration in Katy (and what changes it)
When someone asks me, “How long will it last?” I give the honest range first, then I explain what pushes you toward the shorter or longer end.
Botox (on average)
~12–16 weeks is the common window for forehead lines, frown lines (11s), and crow’s feet. Some people feel it soften sooner, some hold longer.
Daxxify (on average)
~4–6+ months is common for many people. In some areas and with the right dosing, you may see effects stretch longer, sometimes closer to 9 months.
The “per unit” part is where a lot of confusion happens. Pricing per unit doesn’t mean you get a fixed duration per unit. Duration comes from the total units used, the injection pattern, and the size/strength of the muscle we’re treating.
In Katy, heat and humidity matter too. If you’re someone who runs hot, spends time outside, or loves a midday swim, we’ll talk through smart timing after treatment so you don’t accidentally shorten your results early on. And if you’re coming in from Cinco Ranch, Fulshear, Richmond, Brookshire, or Weston Lakes, I’ll help you plan your follow-up schedule so it fits real life, not the other way around.
Longevity tips that actually protect your Botox/Daxxify results (first 24 hours matter)
If you want more weeks out of your Botox/DaxxifyPer Unit, your best results come from two things: good placement and dosing on my end, and smart aftercare on your end. I’m big on walking you through the “where’s and why’s” so you understand the plan, not just the price.
Settle-in rules (same day): Don’t rub or massage the treated areas. Stay upright and avoid lying flat for 4 hours. Skip strenuous workouts for 24 hours. These steps help reduce early migration and let the product bind where it’s meant to.
My go-to list for longer-lasting results
- Respect heat for the first day: Katy’s hot, humid weather is real. Hold off on hot yoga, saunas, and long sun exposure right after your appointment.
- Protect your skin daily: Sun protection won’t make the toxin wear off slower, but it helps your skin look smoother between visits. It’s a big piece of the “youthful” look people notice.
- Keep your follow-ups consistent: Spacing your visits before you’re fully back to baseline often helps you stay in that “refreshed” zone without needing big swings in units.
- Tell me if you’re very expressive: Strong forehead or 11’s muscles usually need a smarter pattern and enough units to match the muscle, not a “one-size” plan.
- Plan around your calendar: Neurotoxins aren’t instant. You’ll usually start seeing change in a few days, with full settling around 10–14 days. If you’ve got photos or an event, we’ll time it right.
“The injections were quick and almost painless, and I had no bruising afterward at all. It’s been a week, and I can see beautiful results.”
one of our first-time clients
If your Botox/Daxxify fades early, it’s usually one of these 5 things
Early fade doesn’t always mean a product “didn’t work.” Most of the time, it’s one of a few fixable patterns.
- You metabolize fast or you’re extremely expressive. That can shorten the window, especially in the forehead and 11s.
- The dose was too low for the muscle. More on this below, because “more units” isn’t always the answer, but under-dosing is a common reason for short results.
- You rubbed the area, laid flat too soon, or worked out hard within 24 hours. It happens. We just tighten up the aftercare next time.
- Smoking, certain medications, and big changes in routine can shift how long it holds.
- Timing expectations were off. If you check at day 2, you’ll think it’s not working. Give it the full settling window.
If you tell me what you noticed and when you noticed it, I can usually pinpoint what to adjust next time. That conversation is part of the appointment, not an add-on.
Rebooking in Old Towne Katy: the schedule that keeps you smooth, not frozen
Most people do best rebooking Botox around every 3–4 months. Daxxify is often closer to every 4–6 months. The goal isn’t to chase every tiny line. It’s to keep your results consistent so you’re not starting over each time.
I’m in Old Towne Katy near Main Street, with easy access from I-10 and the Grand Parkway. A lot of my regulars like keeping it simple. Pop in for your appointment, then handle a couple errands or grab food nearby.
If you’re new to neurotoxins: I keep the vibe calm and professional. People tell me they felt at ease quickly, and that the injections were gentle and almost painless.
When you’re ready, take a look at longer-lasting smoothness with Botox/DaxxifyPer Unit, or browse neuromodulator wrinkle relaxers in Old Towne Katy to compare goals and areas.
Ready for a clear plan? I’ll look at your forehead lines, 11s, crow’s feet, and brow position, then we’ll decide together what makes sense. Botox/DaxxifyPer Unit appointments are about 40 minutes, with a 35-unit minimum. Pricing is per unit at $12, and your total depends on the areas we treat.
